Muscogee Creek forced out of Alabama

Under the U.S. Department of War, Muscogee are removed from their lands in Alabama to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). The Treaty of Cusseta divides Muscogee land into allotments and land speculators end up defrauding Muscogee. The Muscogee attack the speculators and the militia responds swiftly and violently, marching 20,000 to Indian Territory (Native Voices, "1834: Muscogee Creek are forced out of Alabama").
